It started with herb gardens, then a backyard vegtable patch. Now more and more chefs are discovering the freshness that only comes from chickens raised in their own backyard.

Raising chickens in an urban environment is not just an Austin thing. It is becoming more common in many major cities. Here is an example from Chicago.
